Now decide what part or parts of speech each of these 46 academic words are or can be. Complete the worksheet that you can find on Blackboard. Upload it there when you are done.

Part Three: Working with images

Look at these websites. Choose one of them.

* Posters from Word War II
* Documents and Photographs Related to Japanese Relocation During WWII
* The War in Vietnam – a Story in Photographs

After you have made your choice, complete all of the following tasks in a 500 word blog post:

  • Explain the overall focus of the link. (10 pts)
  • Choose 3 or 4 pictures or posters. Link to each of them individually and then explain what they tell you about US history. Be sure to include the url if you actually include the picture in the post. (36 pts total)
  • React to what you have seen in the pictures. I expect to see real thought in this part. (39 pts total)
  • Comment on the posts of your classmates. I expect you to comment on AT LEAST three classmate's posts. I expect the comments to actually comment on something the person has written. It will NOT count if you just say "It is clear" or "I agree" or anything else that you could have written without reading the post. (15 pts)
